Bank of New York Mellon
CMS discovery and scalable content platform delivery

Overview
Bank of New York Mellon engaged Noice to support the development of a new Aerial View website, beginning with a structured CMS discovery process and progressing through delivery, testing, and launch preparation.
The initiative aimed to evaluate CMS options, validate authoring workflows, and deliver a production ready website aligned with provided wireframes and high fidelity designs. Noice was engaged to guide platform selection, implement the site, and support content migration, training, and operational readiness.
The engagement was designed to balance technical rigour with editorial usability, ensuring the platform could be managed confidently by internal teams over time.
The challenge
BNYM required a delivery partner who could:
- Support a CMS discovery process with clear, practical comparisons
- Demonstrate real authoring and editorial workflows, not theoretical evaluations
- Build reusable components and page templates aligned to approved designs
- Meet accessibility, performance, and compliance expectations
- Support content migration, documentation, and training alongside delivery
- Provide a clear handover and optional long term support model
The project needed to move efficiently from evaluation to implementation, without locking decisions too early or limiting future flexibility.

The solution
Noice delivered a phased engagement covering discovery, implementation, and readiness for launch.
CMS discovery and evaluation
Noice prepared demonstration environments using two CMS options to support informed decision making:
- Adobe Experience Manager Edge Delivery Services
- Adobe Experience Manager 6.5
The discovery phase included hands-on demonstrations, documentation of key capabilities, and a structured comparison to support internal evaluation. This allowed stakeholders to assess authoring experience, extensibility, and operational fit before committing to a platform.
Website delivery and implementation
Following CMS selection, Noice delivered the Aerial View website using a structured, component based approach. Key elements included:
- Environment setup to support development, testing, and content migration in parallel
- Development of functional components aligned to approved wireframes and designs
- Creation of page templates including home, category landing pages, articles, and editorial formats
- Integration with third party services including analytics, consent management, and CRM tooling
- Performance optimisation aligned to Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals benchmarks
- Accessibility implementation aligned to WCAG 2.2 Level A requirements
- Search engine optimisation best practices embedded into the build
Milestone based reviews ensured stakeholders had visibility and input throughout delivery.
Testing and quality assurance
Testing focused on functional reliability, accessibility, and cross browser compatibility. Coverage included:
- Functional testing across supported browsers
- Accessibility testing using assistive technologies
- Remediation of issues identified during verification testing
This approach ensured the site was ready for production use across devices, browsers, and accessibility tools.
Content migration, documentation, and training
Noice worked alongside BNYM teams to support content migration into the new platform, including text, media, documents, and editorial content types. To support long term ownership, Noice delivered:
- Plain English documentation covering common authoring and administration tasks
- Step by step guidance supported by visual references
- Recorded group and one on one training sessions
- Hands-on walkthroughs of real editorial workflows
This ensured internal teams were equipped to manage the platform confidently after launch.
Deployment and operational readiness
Noice supported production deployment in collaboration with BNYM IT teams, including coordination around DNS and security controls. The engagement included:
- Structured handover of source code and documentation
- A post implementation warranty period
- An optional ongoing support model offering 24 by 7 availability for urgent issues and platform evolution
This ensured a controlled transition from delivery to live operation.

Operating model
Noice operated as a delivery and enablement partner, supporting both technical implementation and internal capability building. The model emphasised:
- Clear handover and documentation
- Support for internal authors and administrators
- Optional long term support without vendor lock in
This approach balanced delivery confidence with long term flexibility.
Outcomes
- Informed CMS selection supported by hands-on evaluation
- A production ready website aligned to approved designs and standards
- Accessible, performant, and maintainable implementation
- Editorial teams enabled through documentation and training
- Clear deployment and support pathway post launch
